  • Perfect for early drafts, an editorial assessment looks at all elements of craft in a global way that is designed to give you potential direction for revision.

  • When you’re ready to really get into it, a developmental edit looks at the macro and the micro. It addresses all elements of craft: plot, pacing, character and relationship development, voice and style, and worldbuilding at both the global mansucript level and the scene level.

    • 1 hour follow up call to discuss any questions and directions for revision

  • Line editing looks at how the story is told at the paragraph and sentence level. This is where we refine voice, word choice, scene level pacing, and sentence structure.

  • Also called a sensitivity read, cultural competency edits help to evaluate the representation of marginalized characters in your work. My cultural competency edits focus on disability and trans representation. With a MA in Critical Disability Studies, my cultural competency edits are based in both lived experience and rigorous research. I offer supportive space to ask questions and learn.
